It has been way too long since I’ve been to the Cathedral Gardens, someplace I usually visit weekly with Lottie. Since the earthquake I’ve walked over once or twice and both times the gardens were fenced off, due to the damage. But today, they were back open…

I am sure you have heard by now that there was an earthquake in VA…the only real damage I have seen is to the National Cathedral, one of my favorite DC spots!
The whole Cathedral is roped off with police tape and there are tons of news crews there. While I was sneaking around taking pictures, Lottie proceeded to chase a squirrel up a tree and yap loudly at it while I tried unsuccessfully to yank her away. Obviously, this blew our cover. Embarrassing.
Can you believe this flower was spotted in DC? It looks so tropical to me…but I guess its a lily? I really am no flower expert. I just take pictures of pretty ones.
I am so bad at blog post titles. I have repeated post titles so many times…hence, the Coral II title. Not to be confused with the original Coral post. Those photos were actually taken with my point and shoot. which I still love…
