My good friend Loree, who I worked with at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, is currently living in Argentina and traveling throughout South America.  I am having so much fun hearing about her adventures and seeing her photos on her blog, but I also can’t wait for her to come back to DC because I miss her!  Here is one of my favorite photos from her trip thus far, with her description below…I couldn’t decide if liked it better in color or black and white, so I’ve included both.

I took this picture while hiking up Volcano Villarrico in Pucon, Chile. A day that mixed many of my favorite things: traveling, being outside, tackling a new physical challenge and photography!  It was a really steep and snowy climb, the angle of this picture is not exaggerated — this is the incline we were climbing!  But we had a beautiful day to do it – sun shining and a beautiful blue sky.  It was an interesting mix to be hiking in snow in a t-shirt!
