I am just about the worst blogger…I have been bogged down by my full time job, my side photography job, plus a move to my fiancé’s house, wedding planning and now jury duty! So, its been a bit busy lately…

However, I have been posting away on LinDC Photography’s Facebook page and will continue to do so! At some point, I will actually get a real website and blog for my professional work…

Onto the point of this post…I have driven by Pie Sisters in Georgetown so many times, but today is the first time I’ve stopped. I haven’t eaten my purchases yet (cherry, apple and lemon cream cuppies – clearly, I am sharing), but I loved the shop and they had great selections.  Check it out!

We got the following flavors from Fleurir

85%, Peanut Butter Banana, Caramel and Lemon Honey. So far I’ve had the Peanut Butter Banana and it was amazing.

Hand grown chocolates – need I say more? Stay tuned for actual chocolate shots. I thought the packaging was so pretty, it deserved its own post.

Fleurir Chocolates (click for more info), the store, is on P Street in Georgetown.

Since my dad was in town for Thanksgiving, we decided to do a little sightseeing today. He had not yet been to the World War II Memorial, or the brand new Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. I had only driven by the MLK Memorial, so I was happy to play tourist for the day.

Obviously the weather was gorgeous – unseasonably warm! We walked Lottie around all the monuments, she got tons of attention from tourists and we took lots of pictures.

A successful day two of my Thanksgiving Staycation :)

Would you ever guess this was just a short drive from DC?  I can’t believe I had never been to Mt. Vernon before today.  What a gorgeous site!

Spent the afternoon with this sweet family.  They picked the location and it was awesome!

Today, I went to the Metro Cooking Show with friends. Holy moly – I ate a lot and bought a lot. I don’t usually spend money at things like this because I am kind of cheap, but they had some good deals. For example, Peanut Butter & Co. peanut butter is so delicious and it was $10 for three at the show!  So I bought two Cinnamon Raisin and one Mighty Maple! I also love The Bee’s Knees :)

I did not buy or taste those cupcakes, but I had to get a photo of that huge hot pink bow…
